Beschrijving

In what was formerly the parking lot of a neighborhood fire department, Urbaniahoeve's food forest studio grows in the garden surrounding an artist workspace space (the IJsbrand). The Urbaniahoeve collective started the food forest there in 2011 (their 2nd urban food forest) and uses the space to give courses, as a zone of experimentation, as a plant nursery for their other projects, and as a food source. This food forest and the oeuvre of Urbaniahoeve was presented in the Dutch Pavilion of the Venice Architecture Biennial in 2021. https://whoiswe.nl
