Dos Pos (papiamentu for two water wells) is located in the north of Bonaire and is characterised by numerous small hills and sheltered valleys as well as a small freshwater pond. A subterranean calcareous layer makes Dos Pos one of the few places on the island where it is possible to grow fruits like mango, coconut, soursop, medlar and guava. Rainwater that is caught from the surrounding hills stays in the ground because of this layer that is functioning as a cistern. In the past this plantation was a flourishing place where lots of fruit were produced. You can still see a few of the remaining old plantation trees such as coconut and mango.
