The Food Forestcast is a podcast series in which Marieke Karssen and Frank Gorter have been talking with the pioneers of landscape and food and sometimes politics of the future since 2022.

For many, the Foodforest Podcast (in Dutch) is already a household name and a popular place to hear some brief positive news about a truly possible and much greener future.

Frank and Marieke do this work based on donations. In 2024, we received 7,000 euros! A wonderful amount. This reimbursed a good part of their work, but also a large part not yet. For reference: making one food forestcast episode quickly costs 500 euros.

Season four, 2025 is about health

The food forest cast has a different theme each year. This time Marieke and Frank are also going to talk about health in each conversation. Health of the soil. Health of people, communities and natural food. Can you claim it, or measure it? And how damaging is it that we eat increasingly unhealthy food, and have increasingly unhealthy environments?

Once again, we speak with super smart and motivated guests who are thinking about the future of our landscape, or are concerned with bee mortality, or know all about soil life. The season starts on 7-4 and continues again until around Christmas.

With your support, a full fourth season will be published to further not only our knowledge of health, but to promote further awareness of the wonderful role food forests have to play in it.
