Description

Food forest park Uithof is located in the middle of Almere Haven. It is public green space of the municipality of Almere. It is managed by Stichting Belangen park Uithof and maintained to a considerable extent by volunteers from the neighborhood. The food forest was created between 2018 and 2020 in an already 40-year-old forest edge. Four forest rooms face south, each forest room with its own atmosphere, sheltered on the north side by tall old trees, on the south opening onto a city canal, and there again bordering the rest of the spacious park Uithof. There are many fruit and nut trees, many berry bushes and herbs.
