🌰🐝 Ermervalley – Nuts & Honey Ermervalley is a young, small-scale business in Drenthe with its own row-planted food forest. Our food forest focuses primarily on hazelnuts and walnuts, interspersed with rows of various fruit varieties. From our own food forest, we’re building something bigger: a local nut and honey hub for Drenthe. We focus on food forests, agroforestry systems, and harvest gardens. We assist with processing the hazelnut and walnut harvest—from harvesting, shelling, washing, and drying to cracking and further processing. In addition, we work with our own bee colonies. These can be placed—in consultation—near food forests, agroforestry systems, and harvest gardens to aid in pollination and biodiversity. We process the resulting honey into local honey products. 🐝🍯 In this way, together with growers and landowners, we aim to build a strong, local supply chain in which nuts, honey, agriculture, and nature reinforce one another.
