Seeking Feedback: Online Design Tool for Food Forests
Hello all,
I'm working on AgroForest Designer, an online design tool for food forests, permaculture projects, and edible landscapes.
I started this because general garden design software can usually place plants on a map, but it doesn’t take the specific structure of a food forest into account. Consider, for example, vegetation layers, eventual crown widths, planting distances, plant guilds, shade, and how a design evolves over the years.
With this tool, you can sketch an existing site on a map or aerial photo, add buildings and paths, select plants, and create a planting plan. The design remains fully customizable afterward. There are also features for plant relationships, sun and shade, elevation differences, harvest periods, and plant lists, among other things.
There is a free plan that allows you to create your first project without providing payment information.
I’m sharing this here mainly because I’d love to get feedback from people who are designing, planting, or maintaining a food forest themselves. Which parts of the design process are currently taking up the most of your time? And what information or features do you think would be really useful in an app like this?

I'm the developer myself, so honest and critical feedback is definitely welcome.
